Review Sheraton Puerto Rico Hotel and casino

This hotel offers everything you need for a relaxing stay in Puerto Rico.  The location is a little remote across the street from the convention center. It was a 20 minute walk to the local beach or a five dollar uber ride.  The hotel is full service with everything you expect from a Sheraton.  They have a dedicated SPG line and it was a time saver because I checked in at a busy time.   I was automatically upgraded from a standard room to a bay view suite.  It was huge and the layout was very usable.  It has 1 full bath with jetted tub and separate shower.  A 2nd 1/2 bath off the living room was a nice extra when you have multiple people in the room.

The living room and the bedroom had huge sliding glass doors that went out to the giant patio.  The patio ran the length of the living room and bedroom.  They had a lounge chair and other chairs with a table for dining.  The view wasn’t great because I was on a lower floor.  From the patio I could see the people swimming in the pool and the bay and the marina.  The room had a nice size fridge and wet bar.  The coffee Juan Valdez was very good.  Two bottles of complimentary water.  Sheraton now has a new line of toiletries.  The shine brand is gone.  The new name is “Le Grand Bain” means “the great bath” in French, and that doesn’t fit the Sheraton image.  I tried it and it is okay.  I didn’t like the old products and these are a tad better.

The gym is amazing!  It has everything you need for a great workout.  It is a big space with lots of cardio machines.  Top of the line weight machines.  Cold work out towels and water.  Lots of room for stretching with bands and balls.  Located on the third floor right off the elevator.

The club room is available 24 hours a day.  It is located on the top floor of the hotel.  Wonderful views from the outdoor patio with great seating to eat or relax and enjoy the views.  The inside seating was plenty big to accommodate the guests.  The buffet for breakfast is adequate for almost any appetite.  Cold cuts and sliced cheese.  3 kinds of bread and bagels.  Hot scrambled eggs and sausages.  Pastries and cold cereal.  Hot oatmeal and fresh fruit.  Gourmet coffee machine which makes a decent latte. Fresh juices and bottled water.  It is served daily from 6:30 to 9:30 am.  From 5 to 7 pm they serve a perfect light dinner.  A different soup every night with a Caribbean flare.  Olive pate with  pita and tortilla chips.  Salad with a choice of dressing.  Cold cuts and cheese and fresh rolls to make a delicious sandwich.  One cold pasta dish and two hot dishes.  Every night I ate in the club and saved a lot of money on food.  Snacks consisted of fruit and power bars available all day long.

This is a great hotel with excellent employees.  I paid $55 per night and 3500 SPG points per night.

Now that is a deal!
